Ikemeleng Architects worked in joint venture with two other practices on a new 760 bed Level 2 Hospital in Vosloorus, Boksburg for the Gauteng Department of Public Transport, Roads and Works. Practical Completion and Works Completion have been achieved and the building has been handed over to the Client.
The main four-storey hospital building is laid out around a central Hospital Street in the form of a triple volume atrium, which provides natural lighting and ventilation to waiting areas and circulation spaces between Clinical Departments and Wards. Ikemeleng Architects are responsible for the design and documentation of the Ground Floor, including Accident and Emergency, Crisis Centre, Radiology, Pharmacy, Administration, Rehabilitation and Psychiatric Wards.

SLOVOVILLE CLINIC

Ikemeleng handed over a new level 2 Clinic in Slovoville, opened by the mayor Mpho Parks to great fanfare, and hailed as the best Clinic of its level in Johannesburg. The Clinic boasts 22 consulting rooms, Emergency medicine area, Dispensing area and Administration Block.
