Ikemeleng Architects have been commissioned to the design of the 1 662m 2 ICT Security building for the University of Mpumalanga. The ICT and Security Building is located along the internal street, on the far western portion of the Lower Campus. The building is located south of the Science Research Facility, and lies North of the D725 boundary. The building will provide the main campus Server and ICT facilities, the Campus Control Centre and the Security Staff Facilities. The building is to accommodate an approximate bulk of 1 662m2, at a building height of 2 storeys, with a lower ground floor. The ICT and Security components are to be located on the first and second floor, with the Staff Facilities on the lower ground floor.

Ikemeleng Architects have been commissioned to a 3 Year Framework agreement for Architectural services within the University of Mpumalanga precincts. First in the appointment are 2 building projects within the Lower Campus of the University of Mpumalanga, Comprising of a new ICT & Security Building and an Irrigation Lab with the response to brief being based upon the University of Mpumalanga lower Campus Architectural Guidlines.
The Irrigation Laboratory is located within the Infrastructure & Facilities Management Precinct (South Campus) that consists of a irrigation slab platform (approx 1800 sq.m) to fall accompanied by a Irrigation workshop and wet/dry store( approx 500 sq.m).

The Project entailed refurbishment of 4 Auditoria, 1 to VIP Standards, Full A/V installations, Refurbishment of ablution facilities, refurbishment of exhibition and reception areas for exhibitors, sponsors, and improved parking facilities.The project was delivered in time for the conference.
